1. ~ A Garden is a Home ~

Instruction available year round

Learn from Master Gardeners, how to create any sized garden that can be of benefit to native species, you, and your family.

~ 2 hour instruction includes:

soil preparation, plant selection, organic fertilization, mulching practices, weed, and

plant maintenance.

~ Participants also receive pollinator friendly seeds, and informational handouts.

Participants are welcomed to picnic after their workshop.

Cost: $40.00 per person.

2. ~ On Site Presentations ~

Instructional Talks and Presentations are available for your meeting here at the Garden.

Topics include:

~History of Birdsong Pleasure Garden,

~How to Create a Planting Bed/Mulching,

~Pollinator Gardening/ Native Bees,

~Bonsai.

Cost: Starting at $100, depending on type of presentation, number of participants, and

if the presentation is included in a Garden Tour.

3. ~ Volunteering in the Garden ~

Would you like to learn more about gardening by getting your hands in the dirt? So many people would.

Our volunteers have said that the mental benefits of volunteering range from a general sense of "feeling good" as a result of working in the garden, to a more complex sense of "self-therapy" as they promote their health and well-being.

Hours are earned by volunteering your time working in the garden.
Any amount of time volunteering is acceptable.
Hours can be used to pay for workshop/class fees or particular events.

4. Kid's Activities

Depending on the age level and number of kids, we can offer various activities.

We offer: "Scavenger Hunt", "Team Hunt", "Fill the Basket", "I Spy" , and

"What's Under the Magnifying Glass?"...all to discover interesting insects, birds, frogs, flowers.

Before or after your Garden Tour, we also offer "Make n' Take" activities, such as: Planting Veggie/Flower Seeds; Identification Journal; Bird Seed Balls; Native Bee House, or Egg Carton Treasure Box.

* Prearrangements must be made for any of our Kid's Activities.

* A minimum charge of $25/pp for supplies for "Make n' Take" activities.

5. Make & Take Holiday Arrangement or Wreath Workshop

November 15th to December 20th, 2025

Design and Create Your Own Personal Holiday Arrangement or Wreath

for Your Home or as a Gift for a friend.

Lesley Mack, Designer and Head Gardener at Birdsong Pleasure Garden, will guide you through all the steps in creating long-lasting holiday greenery.

All materials will be provided for either the arrangement or wreath; including the fresh cut evergreens, standard wire base, wire, pruners, ornaments, ribbon and artistic design help.

The workshop is great for all skill levels.

Various types of evergreens will be used in creating your lovely, full wreath.

Information on the types of evergreens and ways to keep your wreath fresh throughout the seasons will be discussed and shared.

A complimentary hot drink will be served during the event.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN GARDEN GLOVES, as the pine sap may be sticky.

PLEASE DRESS FOR THE WEATHER, we will work in an outdoor building no matter what the weather or temperatures.

Workshops will be a maximum of 12 people.

The Workshop is available by appointment, 11 am to 3 pm.
